Karsynn & CJ's trip to Sesame Street

On Saturday, we traveled to Cincinnati to visit with John, Nila and CJ. We took the girls to see Elmo Makes Music on Sesame Street. The girls had so much fun. Afterwards, we walked across the Ohio River bridge to Newport on the Levee and spent time just walking around and enjoying ice cream. It was a great day. Karsynn loves spending time with her China Sisters.

Karsynn is 17 months old today...OMG!!!!!

I simply cannot believe that we have been home now for 8 months. It just doesn't even seem possible. Today, Karsynn is 17 months old. She was only 9 months old when we brought her home from China. My how time flies! I thought I'd update you on how she's doing and include some pictures to show how much she has changed.

Update:
Talking up a storm! Will mimic anything you ask her to say.
Walking and running everywhere!!!! This summer will be very interesting, I'm sure.
Sleeping much better, praise God! The tubes have worked, I think. She loves her ear plugs!
Eating anything that doesn't eat her first. Loves country food, like mixed greens and soup beans. Yeah!!!!
Still staying at home with Miss Becky 3 days a week, whom we LOVE, and Grandma and Grandpa Hatfield for 2 days. We're enrolling in Church of God daycare for next year.

Here are some pics to enjoy! My baby is growing up!!! :(

The first picture is her Finding Ad that was posted in the Chinese newspaper. She is the 3rd one down on the left. So cute!!! Be sure to click on the finding ad pic, so that it enlarges. That face is so darn cute!!!!

A Day Trip to the Newport Aquarium

Today, we decided to take a ride to Newport, KY and visit the aquarium. Karsynn had a BLAST. She loved seeing the sharks and penguins, or ducks as she calls all birds. She was so amazed with everything around her. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy.

Surgery Day :(

Update:

Karsynn's surgery was successful. Dr. MakDessian found fluid in both ears this time, not just one, so this was a sure sign that this procedure had to be done. The surgery lasted 15 minutes and she bounced back like a ball. She has been talking up a storm and running in high gear all day long. Wow, our God is truly amazing! Thank you God for taking care of our girl!Thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers, too.

Well, it's 5:30 AM and in just a few hours Karsynn will go in for surgery. Please pray that the tubes that are placed in her ears today will bring her peace and sleep at night. Please pray that the pain she has been experiencing for so long will shortly disappear. Please pray for a speedy recovery and that Karsynn has no memory of what is about to take place. Please pray for Dr. MakDessian's hands that they are steady and are able to place the tubes in her ears without any problems. PLEASE PRAY!
